The Allegrezza String Quartet have played at many weddings, including religious and civil ceremonies, as well as ceremonies conducted in Welsh. Whatever type of wedding you are planning, the Allegrezza String Quartet aim to add some magic to your special day by accommodating your individual needs. If you are unsure of the role you would like the quartet to play, they can guide you in the decisions you make regarding music on the day. In the months leading up to your wedding they will liaise with you to make sure they play the music you want during the parts of the day that you require.
The point at which the quartet play during the event varies, depending on the requests of the Bride and Groom, but it is common for them to provide music at some or all of the following points:
During the wedding ceremony
A string quartet can truly enhance the atmosphere of a wedding ceremony. Whether you want to create an uplifting, poignant, or reflective mood, the Allegrezza String Quartet can assist. It is common for the quartet to play as the guests arrive, for the entrance of the bride, during the signing of the register and for the exit of the bride and groom.
During the drinks reception and Photographs
At this point in the day it is often desirable for a string quartet to provide background music as guests arrive and enjoy the drinks reception, or during the photographs. If the weather is good they are happy to play outside, a common request during the spring and summer months.
Wedding Breakfast
A string quartet are an excellent choice of ensemble to provide music at this point in the day, because they can play loudly enough to be heard, but their sound is mellow and unobtrusive.
If you have a special request for a piece of music which is not in our repertoire, for a small extra fee we are happy to arrange and perform it for you at any of the above points. Couples frequently request a song or piece of music which is special to them, to be performed during the wedding ceremony.
The Allegrezza String Quartet can perform inside or out, depending on the weather! During the spring and summer months it is common for couples to request the quartets presence outdoors during the photographs or drinks reception.
If the venue for your wedding reception is different to that of the ceremony, we are happy to travel to the reception from the service, and if we can make a speedy exit, can arrive before your guests!
